These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Parental Values apps and the backend service that supports them (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The service
Parental Values is a parental-control service that lets a parent link devices to their account and manage them — viewing screen-time and location, and applying instant locks, per-app blocks, schedules, and screen-time limits. Features are delivered to native iOS and Android apps. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Eligibility and your account
You must be an adult able to form a binding contract to hold an account. You are responsible for the information on your account, for keeping your sign-in secure, and for all activity that happens under it. Sign-in is provided through Google and Apple; keep those credentials safe.
Authority to monitor
You may only link and monitor a device that you own or that you have the legal right and authority to monitor — for example, a device belonging to your minor child, or your own device in self-mode. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to monitoring, including any obligation to inform the person using a linked device. Parental Values is built on transparency: the person using a linked device can see the rules that have been set. You must not use the Service to monitor anyone without the authority to do so.
Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- New accounts include a 30-day free trial with complete premium access.
- After the trial, the plan is $24.99 for six months and renews automatically for successive six-month terms unless you cancel.
- Purchases and renewals are processed by the App Store or Google Play. Manage or cancel your subscription in your store account; cancel before a term ends to avoid the next charge.
- Refunds are handled according to the policies of the App Store or Google Play. Prices may change; we will give notice where required.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to stalk, harass, or harm anyone;
- monitor a device you have no authority to monitor;
- interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
- resell or provide the Service to others except as we expressly allow.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and brand, is owned by Parental Values and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the apps for their intended purpose while these Terms are in effect. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties — app stores, and Apple and Google notification services among them — each governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is at your own risk.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that enforcement rules will always apply instantly on a monitored device; delivery depends on the device, its network, and its operating system.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parental Values will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal exposure. Some provisions — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — survive termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
